A gentle freezing that is well tolerated is used for hemorrhoid treatment. A cooling air jet is used to anesthetize the area. These treatments often result in good relief. In some cases minor in-office surgery may be needed. A single treatment may be adequate but up to three sessions of freezing treatment, three weeks apart, are sometimes needed.
Hemorrhoid treatment is covered by most insurance plans.
